Cost and Timing of Adoption

Results from our annual Cost & Timing of Adoption Surveys. Please take a few moments to complete our 2011 survey!

Each year, Adoptive Families polls readers to get the real story on the average cost and length of time it takes to complete an adoption.  We've heard from many families just starting out in adoption that the final survey results are immensely helpful to them. For example, in addition to reporting on the raw data, we've used past survey results to prepare this useful "Sample Adoption Budgets" tool on our Adoption Guide site, for prospective adoptive parents.

In 2011, we're once again offering a special giveaway to encourage more families to share their adoption experiences. If more than 1,000 parents who adopted in 2011 or 2010 complete our 2011 Cost & Timing of Adoption Survey, we'll randomly select one and donate $500 to the adoption charity of his or her choice!
