Ask AF: Recommended Travel Documents

When traveling as an adoptive family, which documents should you bring along?

Q: None of the members of my large, multiracial family look at all biologically related.

Should we bring any documents besides passports and copies of our birth certificates when we travel out of the country this summer?

A: Yes, you should bring copies of your children’s adoption documents. It’s unlikely that you’ll be asked for them, but not impossible.
