Korean Adoptee Wins Grammy Music Educator Award

Jared Cassedy, a Korean adoptee, was chosen from a field of 7,000 nominees to receive the Grammy Music Educator award.

Jared Cassedy was awarded the second annual Grammy Music Educator title from The Recording Academy and Grammy Foundation, an honor for kindergarten through college teachers who “have made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education.” Cassedy, who was adopted from South Korea at age four, has been teaching music at Windham High School in New Hampshire for the past six years. He was chosen from a field of 7,000 nominees.
